Woodlake park

Centered on Oxford Street and Woodlake Drive, the park includes a fenced play area, amphitheater, softball field, lighted tennis court, tot lot, and the Woodlake Community Center. The Center, aka Woodlake Clubhouse, at 500 Arden Way was built in 1948 by the North Sacramento Rotary Club and originally served as a youth center. To rent the Clubhouse for social events, go to the City's Parks & Recreation website.

Sacramento Police & Sheriffs Memorial

The neoclassical-style monument honors the deputy sheriffs and police officers who lost their lives protecting the County of Sacramento and the cities of Sacramento and North Sacramento. It is at the western edge of Woodlake Park. Click here for more information.

Chief Erskine Fish Tree

Planted in 1935 across the street from the park, the Erskine Fish memorial tree recognizes the sacrifice of former North Sacramento Chief of Police Erskine Fish.

The Woodlake Swim Club is a private, member-run swim club at 1445 Lochbrae Road, between Canterbury and Edgewater. It was built around 1928. The main pool is 100’ by 40’ and there is also a kiddie pool, games, picnic tables, fire pits, and a covered lounge area. The pool is fed by free-flowing clear water and uses fewer chemicals than other public pools. Membership information is available here.

Camp pollock

Camp Pollock is a beautiful 11-acre property along the American River open to the public from sunrise to sunset, with no charge for parking. It is managed by the Sacramento Valley Conservancy. The entrance is on Northgate Boulevard near the intersection with Del Paso Boulevard. Camp Pollock includes a California native garden courtyard, a river deck, the historic Myrtle Johnston Lodge. The Lodge, Courtyard and River Deck are rentable for private and public events and parties.

Iceland ice skating rink

Iceland is an historic ice-skating rink at 1430 Del Paso Boulevard, with a free parking lot between Canterbury and Edgewater. It opened in 1940 and has run as a non-profit since 2010. Classes are available and tented spaces are great for groups or rent the entire rink for your private event.

The American River Parkway is accessible at Del Paso Boulevard and Northgate and off Expo Parkway. The portion of the parkway south of the neighborhood has a number of bicycle and pedestrian paths.

In 2008, the Sacramento Tree Foundation put together a self-guided walking tour of notable trees in the neighborhood. The guide is available here.

Del Paso Blvd and the surrounding area are home to a variety of businesses that are within walking distance of Woodlake. The Del Paso Blvd Partnership maintains a website with a directory of local businesses.

Join the Woodlake Neighborhood Association

The Woodlake Neighborhood Association meets monthly at 6:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month, except July and December, at the Woodlake Clubhouse. 

 The WNA distributes the Woodlake News to each household to keep neighbors informed on local issues.
